Meet Rosa Martinez, RN

Rosa Martinez – who has been a peritoneal dialysis (PD) nurse for the past decade – knows from personal experience what her patients are going through, having acted as translator and care partner for her father when he underwent dialysis.

She understands that her patients are grieving their loss of kidney function; she understands how much responsibility it is for them to take charge of their care.

Ensuring her patients feel heard, she checks in regularly, harnessing Sharesource to educate and shape goals alongside them. In this way, she supports patients to adhere to their treatment plans and increases PD success.
